Max is a Draft cross gelding. Born in 2005 , Max is the senior member of our current herd.  He arrived at Partners when he was two and has grown up with us! Max spent many years as a riding horse for our larger riders, but now enjoys a lighter workload. He continues to teach more independent riders, as well as participating in unmounted lessons and equine-assisted learning sessions.  He is a gentle giant but needs to be reminded of the rules and that HE is not in charge. He is wonderful for teaching boundaries and working on gaining confidence, as he will test our students but gives in when asked correctly. He is the type of horse that really lets our students know when their communication is clear.
