2024 Horse of the Year

Hank joined the Partners Therapeutic Horsemanship herd in the fall of 2023. At approximately 18 years old, this mustang cross had a background in polo lessons and before that ranch work. We believe he was always meant to be a therapy horse, however.  Hank is the most reserved of our herd. Once he begins to trust someone- whether staff, volunteer, or student- his cheeky personality starts to emerge. Hank is very slow and steady, currently used mostly for leadline lessons. His favorite gait is the walk. Hank is never in a hurry, unless he is turned loose with other horses in which case he likes to show off his zoomies.
